Is this module a VTX or a VRX?

It is a VRX: an analog FPV video receiver. The transmitter shown in some source photos is a separate device, and its 25–800 mW output-power settings do not apply to this receiver.

Can it receive a standard 5.8 GHz video transmitter?

No. Select an analog video transmitter that supports the corresponding 1.2/1.3 GHz channel, then set both devices to the same frequency.

What display connection does it use?

It provides analog AV output. The connected goggles or monitor must have a compatible AV input.

What supply should be used?
