FAQ

Technical Highlights

u-blox M10 Positioning Platform

The GEP-M1025 series uses the u-blox M10 platform with 10 Hz position updates. Its specified joint positioning mode combines GPS, BDS, Galileo, QZSS and SBAS.

25 × 25 mm Antenna

The series incorporates a 25 × 25 mm ceramic antenna. The listed module dimensions are 29 × 29 × 8.5 mm, allowing the antenna size and overall installation envelope to be evaluated separately.

Seven Sensor Configurations

Select a GPS-only model, a model with an onboard compass, or a model combining GPS, compass and barometer. Sensor selection depends on the complete model suffix.

Selection Guidance

  • Choose GEP-M1025 for GNSS positioning without an onboard compass or barometer.

  • Choose GEP-M1025Q or GEP-M1025I when an onboard compass is required without a barometer.

  • Choose DQ, MQ, DI or MI variants when both compass and barometer data are required.

  • Confirm the exact sensor chips and flight-controller firmware support before finalizing the model selection.

FAQ

Do all GEP-M1025 models include a compass and barometer?

No. GEP-M1025 is GPS-only. GEP-M1025Q and GEP-M1025I add a compass without a barometer. The DQ, MQ, DI and MI models include both sensors.

What is the difference between Q and I sensor configurations?

The Q, DQ and MQ models use a QMC5883L magnetometer. The I, DI and MI models use an IST8310 magnetometer.

How do the D and M barometer configurations differ?

DQ and DI are specified with a DPS310 barometer, with DPS368 possible depending on production batch. MQ and MI use an MS5611 barometer.

Are the antenna dimensions the same as the overall module dimensions?

No. The antenna measures 25 × 25 mm, while the listed module dimensions are 29 × 29 × 8.5 mm.

Which connections are required for the onboard sensors?

GNSS data uses UART. Models with a compass or barometer also require I²C SCL and SDA connections, together with suitable flight-controller firmware configuration, to use those sensors.

B2B Procurement FAQ

What model information should be included in a quotation request?

Provide the complete model name, required quantity and required magnetometer and barometer configuration. The full suffix is necessary to distinguish the seven variants.

Can a specific barometer chip be requested for DQ or DI orders?

State whether DPS310 or DPS368 is required. The actual production batch and availability of the requested chip must be confirmed during quotation.

What should be confirmed for projects with strict mechanical limits?

Confirm the selected variant's dimensions, weight, connector clearance and cable arrangement. The supplied series specification lists 29 × 29 × 8.5 mm and 13 g without separate weight measurements for all seven models.

How are package contents and commercial terms confirmed?

Included cables and accessories, minimum order quantity, availability and delivery terms must be confirmed in the quotation for the selected model.
