GEPRC MATEN 1.2G 2W VTX
Technical Highlights
Up to 2000mW RF Output
Four selectable RF power levels of 25mW, 400mW, 800mW and 2000mW allow the video link to be configured for different operating requirements. Pit Mode is also available for low-power setup and maintenance.
Nine 1.2GHz Video Channels
The transmitter provides nine selectable channels from 1080MHz to 1360MHz, giving system integrators multiple frequency options for compatible 1.2GHz analog FPV receivers.
IRC Tramp Remote Control
IRC Tramp support allows compatible flight controllers and on-screen display systems to adjust VTX channel and output power without direct access to the transmitter buttons.
Wide 7–36V Input Range
The VTX accepts a 7–36V DC input, covering 2S through 8S battery systems. A regulated 5V output rated at up to 600mA is provided for a compatible FPV camera or cooling fan.
CNC Aluminum Heat-Dissipation Housing
The high-strength aluminum-alloy CNC enclosure protects the transmitter and acts as a heat sink. Integrated temperature protection helps reduce the risk of damage caused by excessive operating temperature.
Standard 30.5mm Installation Pattern
A 30.5 × 30.5mm M3 mounting pattern supports installation in compatible FPV frames and equipment platforms. The compact module measures 36.4 × 36.4 × 7.4mm.

Installation and Operating Notes
Install a correctly matched 1.2GHz antenna before powering the VTX.
Never operate the transmitter without an antenna or suitable RF load.
Maintain constant airflow around the housing, especially at higher output-power settings.
Install a cooling fan when operating in a confined or poorly ventilated installation.
The 5V output is intended only for a compatible camera or cooling fan.
Never connect the battery or main power input to the 5V output terminal.
Confirm cable polarity and connector pin order before applying power.
Confirm that the selected frequency and output power comply with local radio regulations.

FAQ
What frequencies does the MATEN 1.2G 2W VTX support?
It provides nine selectable analog video channels between 1080MHz and 1360MHz: 1080, 1120, 1160, 1200, 1240, 1280, 1320, 1360 and 1220MHz.
Which output-power settings are available?
The selectable settings are 25mW, 400mW, 800mW and 2000mW. Pit Mode is also available for low-power setup and maintenance.
Does the VTX support remote parameter adjustment?
Yes. It supports the IRC Tramp protocol, allowing channel and output-power adjustment through a compatible flight controller and on-screen display system.
What battery voltage can be connected?
The supported input range is 7–36V DC, corresponding to 2S through 8S battery systems. Verify polarity before applying power.
Can the 5V output power an FPV camera?
Yes. The regulated output provides 5V at up to 600mA for a compatible camera or cooling fan. It must not be connected to a battery or another external power source.
Which video formats are supported?
The transmitter supports PAL and NTSC analog video formats.
What antenna connector does the VTX use?
The VTX uses a 50Ω MMCX antenna interface. The standard package includes an MMCX-to-SMA cable and a 1.2GHz SMA antenna.
Can the transmitter be powered without an antenna?
No. A correctly matched antenna or RF load must be connected before power is applied. Operating without an antenna may damage the RF output stage.
Does the 2W VTX require additional cooling?
Constant airflow and good ventilation are required, particularly at higher power settings. A cooling fan should be installed when the VTX operates in an enclosed or poorly ventilated area.
What mounting pattern is required?
The VTX uses a 30.5 × 30.5mm mounting pattern with M3 hardware. Its overall dimensions are 36.4 × 36.4 × 7.4mm.
